Facility
The YouthVille Detroit facility is conveniently located at Woodward and Lothrop in Detroit’s New Center area (near the Fisher building). Within the building’s 73,000 square-feet of space, MSU has rented 3,000 square feet on the main floor. The MSU facility has:
- A managed reception area with waiting room seating
- Two 2-room research observation suites, each consisting of an office/observation room and a participant room with two-way mirrors and audio transmission
- Computers in office/observation rooms have audio recording capability
- Clusters of modular workspaces, each including a desk, chair, windows-based computer, and telephone
- Computers have CD and DVD recording capability
- Telephones have conference call capability
- Two conference rooms
- A small room that can accommodate meetings of approximately 10 people
- A large room that can accommodate meetings and presentations for groups of up to 50 people
- Coffee area with a refrigerator and microwave
- A managed and secure computer network with wireless broadband Internet connectivity
- A cart with a projector and a portable screen
- A cart with a 27" television and a DVD/VCR player
- Sound masking throughout the office for privacy
